Session Log

After the mass melee in the warehouse hangar, the party gather Arthemis d'Cannith and his minions and make sure they are all disarmed and restrained. The task of restraining and watching over the enemy is left to Eriana. Ferdinand takes the fancy rapier off Arthemis, noting its fine craftsmanship - clearly superior to his own. He then sets about disabling the ballista.
Alicia and Bloody Spear go and grab the rented Soarsleds and Skyrafts and bring them into the hangar, then load them onto the Skycoach.
Rocinante finds an office filled with many papers and maps of the city along with a black leather-bound journal/logbook of all the activities in the warehouse and docking bay. There are pages after pages of logs of objects moved in an out of flying vessels, sales, exchanges, and visitors of the last year. It would take some time to thoroughly examine, and the party do not know any of the people involved so they take the book for future reference.
As he is examining the office, Sarroxtíoð finds a workshop with nothing of value in it, and adjacent to it he finds a storage room. This room is full of crates, chests, and barrels. Everything appears to be tightly sealed for transportation at some later date. He begins to break open the containers and conduct a thorough search of the room.
While he does this, Rocinante and Saferous find a second storage room that looks very similar and they begin a through search there.
Between all three of them, the following valuable items are found:

Each room also contains three small barrels of fine spirits that appear to be full. They take all the valuable items and roll the barrels onto the Skycoach in the docking bay.
Once the warehouse has been searched and they are ready to go, their captives are all loaded onto the Skycoach and they all board the ship. Eriana takes the helm and finds that it is relatively easy to navigate.
Their initial thought is to head to Professor Garthen Daela's office in Crystal Bridge Ward, but there is no clear place to park a Skycoach. Instead, they head to the docking station in the Crystal Bridge Ward where they rented the Soarsleds and Skyrafts. It is late, but the station is open. They shock the workers with the sight of their captives and the captured Skycoach.
Initially, the workers at the station only want their own craft back and the two hours of rental fees owed. They seem determined to ignore the prisoners and captured vessel until the party realize they need to dock it here and do something about the captives. When they ask the workers at the station to get the Sharn Watch to apprehend the prisoners, they seem eager to agree.
Sarroxtíoð stays behind while the others take Arthemis in manacles and head up to Professor Daela's office. After the long trek to the office they meet up with the professor, who seems fine - now bandaged up and he has replaced his bloody nightgown with a clean suit.
The professor is pleased with the return of the artifact, which he entrusts to his warforged aid and instructs them to secure it safely where they agreed. The warforged dutifully takes the items and leaves the group. Professor Daela then turns to Arthemis and instead of interrogating him, he starts examining his dragonmark tattoo intently.
Eventually he starts talking to Arthemis, asking him who he is and why he has been making himself such a bother. Arthemis does not reveal much, except to assert that the artifact is rightfully theirs. This sparks an argument where the professor clearly holds that it should be studies and held by the university while Arthemis seems to think it should be utilized to bring back the glory of his house.
This gets nowhere, so the party turn to other matters. The professor thanks them, and again reiterates that he would like to know where they are staying for potential future work. He offers to pay for the rental of the Soarsleds and Skyrafts and bids them goodnight.
When the group return to the sky station they find a small group of the Sharn Watch there. They are rounding up the prisoners and take Arthemis into custody. They insist the party accompany them to the Sword Point Garrison, in the middle Central Plateau.
They are all detained and kept at the Garrison overnight as it is quite late when they arrive.
During their overnight stay, Sarroxtíoð begins to get quite ill. It dawns on him that during the fight in the sewers he was bitten badly by one of the giant rats. It seems likely that he has contracted a disease from the rats.
In the morning the Sharn Watch begin to conduct their interrogations, beginning with Arthemis. They then work through the party, getting a full account of the nights events from everybody. During the interrogations they take the log book as evidence in the case, but they do not confiscate anything else from the party.
Two hours later, a Lyrandar flying vessel approaches the garrison and docks by it. Two Aundair ambassadors and a platoon of fifty Aundair soldiers descend from the vessel.
The ambassadors have identity documents for Arthemis d’Cannith that identify him as a diplomat from that nation. The ambassadors argue that holding Arthemis prisoner breaks national agreements due to his diplomatic immunity.
The Sharn Watch has no option but to release him. Arthemis leaves with the Aundair ambassadors. They fly him in the airship to Aundair’s Embassy in Ambassador Towers ward, in middle Central Plateau.
Shortly afterwards, the party are free to leave.
They return to the familiar Inn where they first met, and settle in.
For the next several days the party recuperate, sell off some items and divvy up their treasury. They spend some of their downtime searching for interesting items to purchase and restock their gear waiting for word from the Professor.
They are allowed to keep the Skycoach they took from the warehouse. It is only useful in Sharn, so they make arrangements with Professor Daela for him to look after it. He agrees and says that as long as they are in the city it will be theirs to use, otherwise he will see that it is tended to.
Bloody Spear decides he does not want to wait for the Professor. He thanks the party for an exciting adventure and is delighted to make friends, especially fellow adventurers. He says good-bye and lets everyone know that they will call on the characters if they come across a mission or bounty that requires more than one person.
During this downtime, Professor Garthen Daela pays their room and board at the Inn with a promise that he will have need of their services and should contact them shortly. After 11 days they finally receive word to meet him at his office.
Note: the next session will pick up from this point where the Professor lays out his proposal to the party. Here is a brief summary of the details:
